December 2020 Finds
Welcome to the first edition of my first Monthly Mod Finds feature! It’s almost the end of December now but in the future I hope to release this monthly feature more towards the middle of each month. For now though, here’s the first edition! I’ll be featuring a random collection of mods that I’ve found this past month that I find useful in my own game and think you may find useful for yours. All links are to the creators’ own sites so you download direct from them to make sure you get the latest versions of the mods and can bookmark for future updates. All links open in a new window/tab. Shorter University Degrees by Peridot Sims
I’ve been using this mod for a while but finally found the creators own page where they had updated it to work with the latest patch. This shortens the number of classes needed to graduate from university with a degree. There are several flavors ranging from four classes to ten classes. I chose the eight classes as that seems the most fun and usually means two terms for my Sims to complete university. The link is to a Patreon site but you don’t have to be a patron to download, it’s a free to all mod.
Surprise Holidays Be Gone by simmytime
Some of the surprise holidays that came with Seasons are fun and useful. Others are annoying like Neighborhood Brawl and I wish they would never happen. Now my wish has been granted! With this simple mod, I can pick and choose which of the random holidays I never want to see again or choose to never again see any of them. All those options are available for download with this handy mod set!
Write Songs and Books Faster by Mikya
It takes so long to write a book and even looooonnngggeeerrr to write a song in the Sims 4! Now you can write those things in a fraction of the time with this mod. There are three speeds available for each so you can decide just how quickly you want your Sims to write songs on various instruments and write books. Just be sure to read the instructions before downloading and installing.
Better Ladders – Carry items & Climb faster by Arckange
Ever since ladders were introduce with Eco Lifestyle, ladders have been both beloved and not so loved. If you have something you need your Sim to carry from one floor to another and only have a ladder between those two floors, it wasn’t getting carried… until now! With this mod they can finally carry things down those ladders and they can go both up and down the ladders much faster. There’s even a version of the mod where they always slide down the ladders! Very cool mod!
Sul Sul Weather App by LittleMsSam
I love this mod so much I even added it to my Essential Mods post! It allows you to finally know the weather in other worlds without traveling there first. I always hated going to a city festival only for there to be a surprise thunderstorm or blizzard. Worse yet, planning a wedding then finding a surprise storm when the wedding party gets there! Now those fears are a thing of the past. Yay!
