Simularity Update 021
I just realized there is a downside to next month being Simularity’s one year anniversary: all the website domain and hosting bills are going to be due next month. If you could chip in even $1 to help, I would be greatly appreciative! I really need the assistance if you could help out. The domain renewal will cost $22.76 and the hosting renewal is $33.88. They’re not huge bills but for a starving artist, they are a pain so again, any help would be appreciated. Please see my Donate page if you would like to help.
Here’s some good news about today for you: It’s my puppy’s birthday today! At right you can see my little buddy Aayla watching me play the Sims on my laptop which she often does while trying to get my attention away from the computer screen and onto her. LOL Today she turns eleven years old. Please join me in wishing her a very happy birthday with many more to come! In case you’re wondering, she’s a chihuahua and my shadow. She is currently sleeping at my feet on one of her blankets at the base of my desk after we shared a sandwich for lunch. I love my little shadow… even if she does have a nasty case of gas at the moment.
I made some more improvements to this site though some were not quite as seamless as I had hoped. If you have created any links to my content or mods here, um, I might have broken your links. I had to rename a few things to better organize the site so that breaks external links to my content. I apologize for that but the site was in desperate need of organization as it continues to grow with new content. I think I’m done renaming posts and categories now though so this shouldn’t be a problem anymore. I hope. Again, sorry. I’m hoping you’ll thank me when you’re looking for something and it’s easier to find. I hope. Oh, I’m not done enhancing the site, I’m just done renaming things.
What have I enhanced? In addition to some cosmetic changes, I added a search function to the sidebar for those who don’t see the search function in the header, added new sort buttons and themed pages to the Mods and Custom Content sections, updated the main header menu, added a feature to the sidebar letting you know what version of the game my mods have been tested for, changed the color of all links to make them easier to see/read, and I rewrote a few pages.
Now for the new goodies to download! In the Custom Content section you’ll find a new set of my artworks for download also known as D9S Art for Sims Pt 5. I also released a new set of abstract small rugs this time with a neutral ivory toned theme. You can find those here: Abstract Ivory Rugs. I have one more set of rugs ready for release (until I create more sets, that is) and four more sets of artworks. I’m looking at other things to recolor and/or create anew now like furniture and curtains and build materials. I’ve just been so preoccupied with testing and perfecting my latest mods lately which has taken up all my creative time.
Speaking of Mods, I thought I was going to release one today but I want one more day to test this one some more before I make it public. I meant to finish the testing yesterday but then Nifty Knitting came out and, well… I got sidetracked. I did test out two mods yesterday that failed so completely that I just deleted them and will forget I ever tried creating them. LOL Anyway, assuming I don’t find any errors while I do my testing today, I should have a new trait ready for you here tomorrow. I might post another new Find tomorrow as well like I did yesterday.
That’s all for now. Thank you for viewing and being a fan of Simularity. You all mean the world to me! If you want to be instantly notified of updates to Simularity you can either sign up for updates via email by putting your email address into the box in the sidebar at right where is says “Subscribe to Blog Via Email” or follow me on either Tumblr or Twitter. Oh, and don’t forget that I have a Discord channel if you ever need to chat with me! Thank you again!
