SE2 Day 3 Blossoming
Now for Day 3 of my Sims 4 Agoraphobia Experiment! Today, Mia has moved back to the city and will take what she learned at university to improve her professional and social life in some rather surprising ways. Read on to find out how! If you missed the primer for this experiment, click here. You can find all posts of the experiment, past and future, by searching for posts with the prefix SE2 or checking the Stories page.
Although Mia moved back into the same apartment she had before, she now has over §25,000 in funds so she makes several upgrades. She bought a better fridge, TV, couch, and more. Of course, Mia comes back to the city on the day of a bad thunderstorm. (IRL note: My little Aayla is terrified of real storms and Sims 4 storms. When it storms in the game, she runs away from my PC even if I turn the sound down. She’s so cute!)
Mia’s first few attempts at conversation with her neighbor Jace McQueen went horribly wrong back before she left for university but maybe she’s learned some things since then. She decides to give talking to him one more try. This time, somehow it goes right! Mia starts flirting with him successfully this time! I guess she really did learn a few things while at university. LOL They even had their first kiss out in the hallway!
So, Mia gives Jace a key to her apartment so they can continue this another time in a better, more private place. Jace was apparently surprised, pleasantly so, by this and took the key with glee as Raj looked on in disappointed disapproval. I’m not sure why Raj reacted like that but he did. Mia is currently on a manic high so this rash action totally fits with her mood.
Okay, it’s time to get serious about losing all this weight, Mia! So, I bought her a treadmill for her apartment and… she’s not having a very good time with it as you can see. Silly girl keeps falling off and hitting her head on it! Oh well, the longer she manages to stay on the thing, the more it will help her in the long run. The long run. Get it? Yeah, I’ll see myself out.
The Romance Festival is tonight and Mia knows exactly who she’s going to invite! Also, I think the game glitched because she’s suddenly skinny after just two days of “push the limits” trips on the treadmill. Weird. I’d go back an reload my save but I didn’t notice this until after I saved the game so now there’s no going back. Anyway, Mia invites Jace to the Romance Festival!
After Mia buys some swag at the festival including a shirt and fireworks (the latter so she’ll be ready for the next Freedom Fest), she and Jace makeout for a while at one of the picnic tables and then he agrees to become her boyfriend! Nice! Mia’s flirty emotion is currently outweighing all others including her panic attacks and other socially induced stress but that won’t last forever. She had best makeout while she can then get back home.
She later askes the festival’s “Love Guru” what she thinks of Mia’s current relationship. The guru replies “A match to last the ages.” That’s nice to hear from a human Magic 8 Ball. I wonder if she’s right or not? You know I haven’t even checked to see what his traits are? I had better do that at some point. Later. Mia knows them, I just don’t. Upon returning home, I happened to remember that Mia had agreed to a freelance gig and tomorrow is the deadline!! Shit! I am going senile! At least Mia was able to somehow get it done right before bed. That was a close one!
The next day, Mia and Jace went on their first official date at the Sunny Side Up Diner in Newcrest for breakfast. It was a legendarily fantastic date even though Jace’s quiche was poorly made so he didn’t finish eating it. Still, the two are now BFFs in addition to him being Mia’s boyfriend! This is working out even better than I could have hoped! I just realized that Mia is spending so much time with Jace that she’s neglecting her other friend Destiny. Damn, it’s really hard having more than one friend, isn’t it?
I keep switching around Mia’s aspiration (you can do that without losing any progress) so as to maximize her points. Mia has yet to actually complete any of the aspirations though. She’s currently on the City Native aspiration, first level. She just gave Destiny a key to her apartment for the sake of fulfilling an aspiration goal and I forgot to get a screenshot! This will have to do…
Mia is now working on a hack-centric freelance gig. She now has §85,937 in funds. I think it is definitely time for a new apartment now. Mia, while doing that last job, maxed out her programming skill level. She can now hack supercomputers… cool? Hmm, time to look for a new apartment and decide where Mia should live next.
Later before the big move, Destiny came over again and decided to take out Mia’s trash but then Mia started talking to her so Destiny just dropped the trash on the floor. Bad friend! Bad! Now Mia will have to clean that up and take the trash out herself before moving because that’s just the kind of considerate person that Mia is.
That’s all for Day 3! Tune in tomorrow for Day 4 as Mia moves into a much larger apartment and life takes a huge turn. Will it be for the better or worse? Find out tomorrow as this experiment continues! Remember, all posts for the Agoraphobia Experiment story begin with the prefix SE2 so you can find them easily. They can also all be found on the Stories page. Be sure to follow Simularity on Twitter and/or Tumblr for updates on when the new entries to the experiment are posted. Thank you for viewing!
