SE2 Day 4 New Beginnings
Now for Day 4 of my Sims 4 Agoraphobia Experiment! Today Mia moves into a much better apartment, a penthouse to be exact, while trying to improve her social life in a variety of ways. Plus something unexpected happens that even I didn’t see coming. Read on to find out more!

Mia has now moved into the Fountainview Penthouse in the Arts Quarter of San Myshuno. Wow, this place is very barebones in terms of furniture. Time to decorate! I pretty much added in everything you see in the screenshot except the bathroom and the kitchen. I’m not sure about that wooden floor… might replace it with something else or get some nice decorative rugs. Have to think on that some more first.
And now time for another Welcome Wagon of new neighbors to greet Mia and welcome her to the new neighborhood. Once again, they forgot the damn fruitcake! We may never know if Mia likes fruitcake or not!! I want to know, dammit!!! Mia is currently manic so she is able to handle the stress of all these strangers in stride.
The Welcome Wagon event only lasts about 45 Sim minutes because it is quickly cancelled out by a Friends Hangout event when Destiny and Jace come over to visit Mia. (I didn’t know events could cancel each other out like that!) The new neighbors leave as suddenly as they arrived and Mia is able to talk to her two closest friends in the comfort of her own home. She’s about as at ease around other people as she can be right now.
Later, Mia and Jace went out to the Spice Festival for some free food since that’s about all the Spice Festival is good for. Mia’s chosen free dish was way too spicy for her. After seeing her hilarious discomfort, Jace went the safe route and bought tamer food for himself. (I’m starting to think he’s the smart one in this relationship.)
Hey, is that Damian from Mia’s university days?? It is and he apparently still has a crush on Mia who completely ignored him and kissed Jace right in front of him. Damian was not happy about this at all but thankfully did not cause a scene. I’m sure he’s moved on in some way too so no hard feelings. He does look kind of sad though. Poor guy. I guess.
A new day and it’s Spooky Day! Spooky Day’s holiday traditions are Decorate, Mischief Spirit, Spooky Spirit, Trick or Treat, and Wear Costumes. Mia chose an Aayla Secura costume to wear because of course she did. I bet the body paint was a pain in the ass to apply which is why I never really got into cosplay though it’s probably even more difficult to wash off. Time to add a few decorations including the all important Spooky Treat Bowl for the Trick or Treating!
Mia just went from depressed to manic so I think it’s time to try throwing a party, a Spooky Party! You can’t have a goaled event on a holiday but that’s okay. You can still socialize and have fun at a party without goals and rewards. First, Mia will make some themed food for her guests including a Zombie Cake and Spooky Cookies. Oh, she can make Cheese Eyeballs too! Once the food is prepared, it’s time to start the event!
Mia invited ten guests plus a mixologist to her Spooky Party. She was happy enough to handle the stress of being around so many people at first but then about halfway through the party, she became completely stressed out and depressed. How is she going to be able to handle a couple more hours of all this?? I guess she could end the event early or…
Thankfully, I guess, she was able to find her courage at the juice bar. It took a couple glasses to self-medicate herself into enjoying the rest of the party. (Note: I do not recommend ever self-medicating with alcohol or other controlled substances in real life so don’t do it!!!) She should have just ended the party early. I sure no one would have held it against her. Poor Mia, she will regret this come morning.
Although Mia is inebriated by the time the party ends, she is feeling relatively good when it ends. Now comes the worst yet inevitable part of every house party, the dreaded cleanup! Spooky Day itself was an awesome success with Mia satisfying four out of five of the holiday’s traditions. So, yay for that at least. I wondering though, why does this Aayla Secura costume have a belly bling? Is that to make it more family friendly or what? It looks so out of place on her. Weird.
Mia woke up the next morning feeling depressed and hungover. She was too depressed to cook so she ordered breakfast from a local food stall which also happened to fulfill a goal of her City Native aspiration. Back at her penthouse, she sold all of her spooky decorations then looked for a new freelance gig. By the time she finishes the gig, she is feeling okay again. Well enough to go to the Flea Market which just popped up as being in the city today.
After purchasing some new snow globes for her collection, Mia takes some time to hang out with her two friends. Mia and Destiny are now not just good friends but BFFs! (I have a mod that allows More Best Friends by LittleMsSam so Mia can be best friends with both Destiny and Jace at the same time.) Mia is feeling okay at the Flea Market in spite of all the people thanks to having the support of her two friends nearby.
Upon returning home from the Flea Market, Mia took another freelance job then Jace stopped by for a visit. He surprised Mia and me both when he suddenly asked to move in with Mia. (I had totally forgotten I had mods that allowed autonomous move-ins. I think it’s part of MCCC by Deaderpool? I can’t recall at this moment.) Mia agreed and Jace immediately moved in with her. Now I have two Sims to control. Yay?
That’s all for Day 4! Tune in tomorrow for the first day of the adventures of both Mia and Jace! Don’t worry, Mia is still the star of our story and the central focus of this experiment. How will they get along? What will happen next? Find out tomorrow!
