SE2 Day 6 Aging Up
Today is Day 6 of my Sims 4 Agoraphobia Experiment. It just so happens that both Mia and Jace are going to have their birthdays today and there might just be a new addition to our story today as well. 🙂 Read on to find out more!

It’s now the first day of winter and Mia’s birthday! She wakes up feeling manic but will that last long enough for her to get through a birthday party today? Let’s find out! Mia starts by baking herself a birthday cake and placing candles on it so she doesn’t have to do so later once the party starts. Now to decide who should be invited to this shindig then we can start the event.Â
First though, I notice both Mia and Jace are shivering in the cold. They have over §100,000 in funds now so maybe it’s time to buy a few luxuries as birthday presents since they can afford it. As her “presents” Mia buys a thermostat because they need one and a much larger TV just for the hell of it. She then activates the “automatic thermostat” feature. (That last thing is from a mod by LittleMsSam.)Â
Time to party down! Mia invites 11 guests plus a mixologist and of course Jace. (I must mention that I just love her party dress!) She manages to stay mostly happy and “okay” for the duration of the party. Once the party was over though, I’m sure she breathed a sigh of relief; I know I would. The party is a golden success as Mia ages up to full adulthood. Yay for Mia!
Yes, Indy is the perfect puppy for Mia and Jace so they immediately adopt him. Indy’s traits are Sleuth, Friendly, and Playful. They then buy some pet essentials so Indy has a food bowl, bed, and lots of toys to play with. I was worried they’d have to carry him down the elevator to “do his business” but thankfully the little pup has no problem going on the balcony. Yay! They will just have to keep picking up and throwing away his poo so they don’t have to deal with trash plants.
Look at how cute he is!!! I like centering the camera on Indy and just watching him run around the penthouse, so happy and carefree. And look at those little feet! Damn, he’s cute!! Also, Mia gets a new positive mood buff as long as Indy is around (Support Animal Happy +4). Too bad that happiness is being overtaken by her depression at the moment. Maybe the whole birthday thing finally sunk in for her?
The next day after work, Mia and Jace take part in the Humor & Hijinks Festival so Mia can light some fireworks there and satisfy a goal for her City Native aspiration. She see’s someone else lay down a firework and gets a grand idea to light it herself and save using one of her own fireworks. I don’t think that guy will mind much. This is going to be great!
The next day is Jace’s birthday. Mia bakes a chocolate cake for him as he sets up the social event and Indy just runs around being cute as always. Jace invited about 10 people including Mia to his party and most of them were co-workers that Mia hadn’t met yet so her stress level was high. Jace seems to be having fun however as he makes a wish before blowing out the candles.
Jace goes into his party feeling confident but I wasn’t paying attention to his energy level or the time of night (it’s about midnight). Mia was manic and her energy was decaying slowly. Jace on the other hand was getting normally tired for how late it was and how early he had gotten up that morning. So he is now exhausted and about to pass out. That means it’s coffee time!
After the party, while Jace sleeps, the manic Mia cleans up after all the guests and there’s a lot to clean up. Have I mentioned how much I love her dress? I love the boots too. The dress features a mod colorization of photos of the Beatles from their A Hard Day’s Night film promo shoot. I wonder if there’s a IRL version of that dress… I’ll have to check eBay later. Sorry, I drifted off. Back to our story now!
In the morning, Jace hits the treadmill after eating a little too much cake over the course of these past two birthday parties. He’s just got a little bit of a gut but it’s enough to hurt his body confidence so he’s working out to look and feel better. Poor Indiana is scared of the treadmill and runs away from it. Once Mia wakes up, she plays with the little pup while Jace continues to work his gut off before he hits middle-age.
That’s all for Day 6 of the experiment. Tune in tomorrow to see what happens next and how Mia deals with it. The story of Mia, Jace, and Indiana will continue!
