SE2 Day 7 Pros and Cons
It’s now Day 7 of my Agoraphobia Experiment. Today’s entry is a little short but Mia finally gets to do something she’s been wanting to do for a long time and her little dog somehow gets even cuter. Read on to find out what happens on today’s entry to the experiment.

Here we see Indy learning his first trick from Jace. Indy is learning to play fetch with a ball. It takes a little while but he learns the trick and both he and Jace have a fun time. Jace now has a new “pet training” skill that he can use to teach Indian more tricks in the days to come. Considering how long it took Indy to learn how to fetch, I’m not sure if Jace will be teaching him lots of tricks but maybe a few here and there. We’ll see.
I switched one of Jace’s traits from one custom trait to a new custom trait of my own that I’ve been working on named Wordsmith so that I can test it properly while I do this experiment. Similar to how I’m partially doing this experiment to test my Agoraphobia and Bipolar I traits in addition to its therapeutic value and to raise mental illness awareness. Once I thoroughly test this new Wordsmith trait, I’ll release it here on Simularity for you all like my other traits that I’ve created (see the Mods page).
Mia needs more snow globes for her collection and the Flea Market is back in town but there is currently a blizzard hitting the city so that’s a no-go on that. Jace is at work so let’s work on Mia’s current aspiration which is Renaissance Sim. She’s on the last tier and just needs to reach level 8 in six skills. She’s currently on level 8 or higher on four skills. She’s on level 7 in charisma and level 6 in fitness so she’ll work on those two to complete the aspiration. After some work on the treadmill and weights machine, she’s now at level 7 in fitness! Once Jace gets home, she’ll be able to work more on her charisma. I guess she could work on it now using a mirror but that’s annoying to me so, no.
Jace meanwhile is still writing on his computer and then he’ll write some more. His aspiration requires him to write five excellent books and publish ten books total and that’s just one tier of the aspiration. I forget which tier he’s on but he’s got a ways to go before he completes his aspiration. He’s really putting the work into it! His new Wordsmith trait seems to be helping though! Yay!
Not long after arriving, Mia takes part in the Hackathon and scores a 67% which is pretty good. The sounds that computer makes when it’s hacking brings back such fond memories of when I had dial-up internet. Do you know what dial-up internet is? I had a 56K Modem. Yes, K as in Kilobytes. It would take nearly an hour to upload a 1Mb file and that’s if I was feeling lucky. Did I say fond memories? I meant nightmares. Okay, back to our story now…
Next up, she takes part in the Ultimate Gaming Test. Her score on her very first try is a 70 and she wins §100 and a Future Cube. Cool beans. I wonder where Destiny and Luca went to. I know they are around here somewhere but I’m not sure where. Maybe they took a trip in the space rocket while Mia was playing games?? Mia is still feeling the “Friendly Support” buff from having them nearby so they haven’t left the con yet. Weird.
Although Mia is obviously feeling stressed out by being away from home and surrounded by strangers, she is comforted by being near Destiny and Luca plus she’s a Geek at a GeekCon so she’s actually feeling overall happy rather than stressed out. She even takes a selfie with a cosplayer and might have even made a new friend. You’re getting better at this social stuff, Mia!
The three friends finally reunite and then get to work on the GeekCon space rocket together (for fun) until the end of the con. The winners of the Hackathon are announced and Mia has won First Place! She has won a brand new, high-end computer!! Today has been fantastic and I’m sure Mia is thrilled that she skipped work to come here.
Getting hungry, Mia grabs some food from the vendor right as the Con is shutting down so she goes into the nearby Karaoke Bar to eat her burger and… why is there snow on the ground inside the bar?! I checked, there is a roof on this bar and all the walls are closed in. I just can’t explain it. There always has to be some weirdness.
That’s all for Day 7! Tune in tomorrow for Day 8 as the winter holidays are approaching. What will Mia and company do for Winterfest and how will they celebrate the end of the year? Find out tomorrow!
