SE2 Day 9 End of the Year
It’s now Day 9 of my Agoraphobia Experiment in The Sims 4 and the last day of this Sim-year as Mia Simm and company celebrate New Year’s Eve. Read on to see what happens next as I promise some things happen that you weren’t expecting… or maybe you were. I don’t know. Just keep reading. Please.

Jace is able to complete his resolution today but Mia’s will take a few days of work, I think. They then decorate for the holiday and celebrate as they wait for the clock to tick to midnight. Jace raises a toast to the new year but Mia has become depressed. Poor, Mia. Hopefully her mood will swing again in time for the celebrations later tonight. If not, she’ll just have to make the best of it as we all have to do in times like that.
Since Mia hasn’t been manic at all today but has been depressed, she’s very tired by 8pm. She takes a nap so she’ll be able to stay up until midnight later. Just to be safe, Jace brews so coffee as well for her once she wakes up. He takes a cup for himself as well though just to be sure they can both stay up until midnight.
While Mia is napping, Destiny and Luca come over and… immediately go outside to have sex on the balcony. Sorry, not showing you that. LOL. After that, they toast to the new year and then promptly leave. What great friends Mia and Jace have. Ha! At least neither Jace nor Mia walked in on them. Well, out on them. They were outside. Whatever.
It’s now 11pm and so Jace and Mia turn on the TV to watch the Countdown to Midnight. Must you stand right in front of the screen, Mia? Maybe she’s getting nearsighted? I mean, it’s a fricken huge TV screen! Whatever, Mia. At 11:30pm, the two start yelling “shaboopie” or something to that effect every ten minutes. Not sure what that translates to but they seem to be enjoying themselves so I’ll let it slide.
It’s now New Skill Day. Jace tried increasing his comedy skill to level 8 and succeeded but that didn’t satisfy the holiday tradition for some reason. I don’t know why. Then he started teaching Indy a new trick (to roll over) and increased his own pet training skill to level 2 or 3 and that did count for the holiday. Weird. Also, Indiana has learned to roll over!
Mia tried increasing both her fitness and charisma skills to level 8 but neither satisfied the holiday. They did however complete her Renaissance Sim aspiration so that’s another aspiration completed! She then started dancing and got to dance skill level 2 and that did it! The holiday is now a success for both of them and she finally has something to dance about. LOL
That’s all for Day 9. Tune in tomorrow for Day 10 which will be the wedding of Mia and Jace and quite possibly the final day of this experiment. Try not to miss it!
