SE Day 2 Trying to be Social
Today the challenge for Mia is to be more social by trying to make some friends of which she currently has none. For starters, Mia’s neighbor Penny Pizzazz keeps knocking on her door asking to hang out. Today Mia will finally answer the door and hang out with Penny for a while. Mia is currently manic and I’m not sure Penny was ready for Mia’s enthusiasm but they did talk for quite a while without any embarrassing moments that Mia noticed. I think they became friends but I forgot to write that down so I’m not sure.
Pippie just aged up to an adult! Mia took another photo of the now adult Pippie to add to her wall and to submit to Simstagram. Mia and Pippie now have 170 followers on Simstagram. In comparison, I have 126 followers on Instagram. LOL
After another successful freelance gig and the sale of a few more paintings, Mia now has §11,075 in funds. Damn, I wish I could get some freelance gigs like hers!
I’m starting to really hate how small this apartment is. I think once Mia earns a good sized nest egg (maybe around §20,000), she and Pippie will move into a better and larger apartment that doesn’t need constant fixing of random problems. She’d be moving away from Penny and Akira but I think that’s okay.
I sent Mia down to the city level to search some random boxes for more snowglobes and other places for free posters to decorate her little apartment. There was a food stall down there selling sweet and sour pork. I love sweet and sour pork! I made Mia, who was barely hungry, eat some so she could learn to cook it at home. I don’t know why, I just did it. While she was down there, she also met a new Sim by the name of Johnny Zest who flirted a bit with her. I didn’t think anything would become of that but…
The next day, Johnny Zest called up Mia and asked her out on a date to Chez Llama. Mia was manic and so she accepted and the two dressed to the nines and went to the fancy restaurant. As soon as they sat down, Johnny left her at the table and went to the restroom. I thought he had a bladder problem but he had gone there to “have some fun” all by himself! Jerk! At least he paid for the dinner which Mia ate, alone.
While Johnny was away, the manic Mia started to flirt with Dominic Fyres… that is until she found out he was married! Talk about embarrassing!! By the time Johnny got back to the table, Mia’s mood had swung to anger and she insulted his outfit. She then ran to the nearest mirror to try to calm down. And that’s how her horrible very first date went. She then, almost completely exhausted, left the restaurant and returned home without another word to Johnny. I doubt they will be seeing each other ever again.
At the pawspital (I just love that name), Pippie is examined and Mia is given the options of an expensive treatment that works instantly, a cheap treatment that is uncomfortable but works eventually, or no treatment at all. Of course Mia chose the first because no amount of money is worth more than our beloved Pippie! Now Pippie is all better and back to her old self. While still at the vet, Mia bought an “Age-Down Treat” that when given to an elder dog will make them age down to an adult. She’ll hang on to this for later. Oh how I wish I had one of those treats for my Aayla!
Back at the apartment, Mia notices that her neighbor is taking out her trash for the fourth time today. Why does she keep taking out the trash? Who has that much trash in an apartment? Did she cut up her husband and is taking him out piece by piece to the trash chute?! Okay, I’ve been watching too much Investigation Discovery, that much I know for sure. Still, it’s so weird that this very mean looking neighbor that won’t talk to Mia keeps taking out the trash. I think it’s definitely time for Mia to move to a new apartment in a new building!
It’s now Love Day, one of the saddest holidays of the year. Actually, now that I think of it, it’s not. I get chocolate for half price after this day so maybe it’s not so horrible after all. Anyway, back to Mia. I sent her down to the local cafe for coffee and maybe to fulfill some of the holiday’s traditions? I mean all she has to do is flirt some and give someone a flower. Plus she’s manic so who knows what she’ll do!
She flirted with Marcus Flex just enough to finish the holiday tradition, even though she wasn’t really attracted to him, and gave him a daisy. She needed to go on a date to finish all the holiday traditions but things didn’t work out that way. At least she gets half a holiday’s worth of satisfaction points than no points at all!
She then went back home where she found a very filthy Pippie. I’ve no idea what Pippie has gotten into but I had to get the tub back out so Mia could give Pip a bath. Between the mania and the coffee, Mia has almost full energy at 4am. I think she’s going to pull an all-nighter like I am right now though I’m not manic at the moment.
I wanted Mia to do one more freelance gig and then go find a better apartment but thanks to bipolar, she’s too tense and anxious to work at the moment. (Oh, she also has about §21,000 in funds at the moment.) So, she is going to play computer games until she feels better. That sounds all too familiar! (I mean the part about playing video games. I’ve never even seen that much money!)
That’s all for today. Tune in tomorrow for more adventures with Mia. I think tomorrow she will find and move into a new and better apartment. I wonder how she’ll deal with her new neighbors? Find out tomorrow!
