SE Day 6 A Tale of Two Sims
We start today off with the wedding of Mia Simm and Seth Benali! Join them and their closest friends as they exchange their vows in Myshuno Meadows.
Ah, the beautiful blushing bride and the… wait, what is with him wearing winter gloves with his tuxedo?! It’s summer! I swear, he may be cute but he has the absolute worst fashion sense! I mean, all of his outfits look odd. Ah well, they still look cute together as they say their vows while everyone else sits down to watch. One bad thing about Myshuno Meadows is that it’s a huge map. It takes a while for everyone to get to where they need to be. If I find the time, I’m going to build a better wedding venue for my future Sims. Mia had to run across the map from the wedding arch to the wedding cake to get the first slice and then bring it back to Seth for them to share. That’s crazy. Yeah, I definitely need a better wedding venue.
The wedding was a complete success even though Mia’s Fun need went almost completely down and Seth kept reading books instead of paying attention to his bride. LOL Mia had §24,728 in funds and Seth added §9,497 to their now shared account plus he sold his apartment and furniture which adds up to… Wow, they have almost §45,000 now!
Now I’ve got two Sims to control. Well, let’s take a look at Seth Benali, shall we? He has the Bestselling Author aspiration and a level 8 writing skill. His traits are Bookworm, Creative, and Lazy. He’s also in the Writer career at level 2. I can work with this. I rather like the idea of her being an artist while he is an author. They could work together on a picture book! 😀 Oh, I turned off the fame options for both Mia and Seth. I’ve no desire to be famous so that seemed like a prudent thing to do.
I have already seen the great benefit of having a spouse. No, I don’t mean sex. I mean that when the crazy old lady neighbor is being too noisy for anyone to sleep, I don’t have to just stay up and wait for her to quiet down because I’m too anxious to go tell her to shut up. Instead, I can send the husband over to knock on the crazy old lady’s door and tell her to shut up! Nice!
Side note: Pippie’s icon keeps showing as uncomfortable red-orange and I can’t figure out why. She’s well-fed, spoiled rotten with affection, taken for regular walks, isn’t sick, and goes to the bathroom regularly outside. I just don’t understand it! It only changes when I use testingcheats to make her “Fine” again. After a while, she goes right back to uncomfortable. I wish I knew what was going on! Any suggestions? Leave a comment on this post if you think you know what may be wrong or how to fix it.
There is something else I’ve noticed about Mia that is oh so familiar. When Mia is manic, her Fun motive decays really fast while her Energy motive barely moves. I just realized that’s true for me as well when I am manic. I’m not sure what state I’m currently in anymore. Some weird twilight area, I think.
On the bright side, Mia found some more snowglobes during her walks with Pippie! She now has a total of 14 snowglobes. According to the Sims 4 Wiki, there are 15 in all. I wonder what the last one could be and where/how to find it?
Mia is now depressed; too depressed to work so she is instead focusing on increasing her skills. I figured two skills that she should have to be more like me is Handiness and Programming. She currently has level 4 Handiness and level 3 Programming. I’m also going to have her mod her Sims game since I’m currently trying to learn how to create my own mods for The Sims 4.
In an attempt to cheer Mia up, I had her teach Pippie how to roll over. It actually had the unintended side-effect of making her anxious and tense but that’s better than depressed and Pippie did learn to roll over.
The next day, to satisfy her aspiration of going on three dates with her spouse, Mia and Seth went on another date this time to the Bistro. The date went well once again even though both had to pee really bad and both bathrooms were taken up by “busy” couples. LOL They had to race home before their bladders burst but they did indeed make it just in time so I’m calling it a successful date.
It’s the middle of the night and Mia is pulling an all-nighter thanks to a bout of mania and some coffee. Seth is in bed asleep after finishing and publishing another book. He’s published about three books now and the royalties are nothing to scoff at. Meanwhile, Pippie is doing her nightly thing of going down to street level and walking up to random strangers for extra attention. I’m not sure why she keeps doing this. I just wish she’d learn to stop drinking from random puddles of unknown liquids. Mia did get her to stop rolling in the puddles at least.
Mia has made a new friend! Her name is Supriya Delgato. I’m pretty sure she is the gym trainer from a couple days ago that helped Mia with her workout. Anyway, Supriya asked to come over for a visit and the two became good friends. Yay! Mia now has a husband, one good friend, and one or two regular friends. She’s got me beat. Unless internet friends count. I’ll get more IRL friends some day.
I think it’s time to see if Mia can handle a regular 9 to 5 job instead of her work-at-home freelancer job. So, Mia has quit her freelancer job and has taken a job as a professional Painter. I don’t know how Mia’s varying and extreme mood swings will affect such a job but we will soon find out!
Tune in tomorrow for more including some huge changes that are in store for Mia, Seth, and Pippie as they continue their lives in this little experiment with a bipolar Sim.
