SE Day 8 Ch-Ch-Changes
Today, a lot has happened and not all of it for the better. I found a possibly deadly glitch in regards to Pippie, messed with Seth’s traits when I probably shouldn’t have, and Mia maybe finds a best friend. Read on for the full story of all that and more!
Seth has been promoted! He chose the Author track in the Writing career rather than the Journalist track since the Author track is easier and more lucrative. He is also starting to get a bit of a gut on him. Time to work out a bit! His lazy ass keeps leaving clothing piles all over the place! Mia might just lose it the next time she has an anger flash!
Supriya just invited Mia out for a girls night dinner at the Villa Bovine. It’s about time for Mia to be more social and she’s manic so it works out. As they chatted while waiting for their food to arrive, Mia and Supriya became the best of friends! How nice of Supriya to have invited Mia out to dinner. I wonder what she ordered for her new best friend?
Olives?!? Supriya ordered for herself the herb-crusted salmon but for Mia, she ordered a BOWL OF OLIVES?!? Seriously?! I’m starting to think twice about her being Mia’s BFF! Oh well, even the best of friends do mess up sometimes. The olives were even of “poor” quality so Mia kept saying yuck the whole time she was eating. Good thing for Supriya that Mia was very hungry so she ate them regardless.
I’ve decided that Mia will definitely go to Selvadorada for some adventures so right now she is studying up on some necessary skills including, of course, archaeology. Thank goodness for that Peace & Quiet lot trait and her own Speed Reader reward trait! This shouldn’t take too long. She will also study Gardening, more Handiness, and then go Fishing some more before she is ready for her adventure. Oh, she will be going on her trip the first day of Spring. It is currently almost the end of Winter.
Speaking of Pippie, I finally figured out in part what is wrong with her. After a suggestion from the Facebook Sims group, I downloaded a mod that allows you to control your pets. I used the mod to have a look at Pippie’s needs and moodlets. She has the “Starving” moodlet yet her Hunger need is near full. This makes no sense! Could one of my other mods be causing this glitch? Is it a base game glitch? Who knows? I don’t! For now it looks like I’ll just have to keep resetting her to keep her happy. I also used a mod to make her immortal just in case I forget to reset her so she doesn’t accidentally starve to death. Poor little doggie!
I am getting so sick of Seth’s laziness!! He won’t workout, he leaves clothes everywhere, he won’t wash dishes, every time he does do something he starts feeling majorly uncomfortable. I told myself I wouldn’t do any cheating for this playthrough but it’s that or divorce I say! I came up with a sort of compromise. I am going to edit and remove his Lazy trait but I will then use the random trait button and whatever it chooses as his third trait will be his replacement trait. I did so and the randomly chosen trait was Jealous (actually it chose three new random traits but I only let it change one). That’s not exactly a positive trait but we’ll see how it plays out.
Well, this is what happens when you mess with things you shouldn’t mess with. Seth’s laziness is gone and he’s started both working out and cleaning up after himself without needing to take naps on the sofa. That’s good. Now he gets in the occasional jealous rage when Mia is talking to anyone other than himself. That’s bad. Mia’s BFF, Supriya, came over to see her and Seth lost his cool for no apparent reason other than his insane jealousy. I’m starting to worry for Mia. Well, we shall see how this plays out in the coming days.
That’s all for today. More of Mia’s story is coming tomorrow including some holidays and after that, Mia will head to the jungle for an archaeological adventure! Tune back into this blog tomorrow and don’t miss a thing!
