SE2 Day 6 Party Time
It’s Spooky Day! Time to decorate, wear a costume, and enjoy lots of tricks and treats! First things first though, Mia has to take Pippa for another early morning “business walk” so she can go potty for the day. Dammit, Pippa, why do you keep trying to poop on Mia’s shoes?!?!?! I’ve never seen anything like this happen in the game before and certainly not every damn time!! Why, Pippa? WHY?!?!
Back in her apartment, Mia switches shoes and gets into a costume to throw a Spooky Party! She invited eight guests and almost everyone wore a costume. (For some reason, Supriya decided not to. No idea why.) Of course, Jacob arrived wearing the craziest of all the costumes; he’s the llama-corn that’s talking to Mia in this screenshot. She’s currently feeling good overall though she’s quietly having an inward panic attack and feeling some social anxiety but that’s to be expected. The party is a mild success!
Spooky Day itself is a total success and Mia even got to have some trick or treat kids comes by her apartment. She randomly gave half of them treats and half of them tricks. (See below!) I gotta say, I love all the Star Wars costumes! (I had Mia in a Princess Leia costume at the start of the day but she changed into the zombie cheerleader costume right before the party for some odd reason.) All in all, it was a great day!
The next morning, Mia preforms her daily rituals of brushing her teeth and getting hydrated with a glass of water (these are requirements of the mod Slice of Life or else you’ll get some negative moodlets). After a shower and breakfast, she’ll get to work cleaning up after the party and seeing what else needs doing.
Ah, the cleanup. The next to worst part of every party! (The worst part is of course the expected panic attack.) After all is cleaned up, Mia started to work on her painting and logic skills but then she gets an invite to Supriya’s birthday party at her house. How can Mia turn down an invite to her best friend’s birthday party when she’s feeling manic? She can’t! So she puts on her party duds and heads over to Supriya’s surprisingly large house. What could Supriya need with all that space?
Oh, apparently Supriya is married with two kids, a cat, and a dog. I knew she had a dog but the rest is quite the surprise! Mia has a panic attack but tries her best to socialize with Supriya’s kids and later meets her husband. Wait, where is the birthday girl? I don’t see her anywhere! I hope this isn’t another glitch!
Ah, there Supriya is! She just blew out the candles on her pathetic looking birthday cake and has aged up to a full adult. That cake looks awful though. I wonder if she baked it or was it that rather poorly skilled caterer? Had I known about this, I would have had Mia bake an excellent cake for her. Maybe it’s not too late? Or would cooking in someone else’s house be considered rude? How the hell should I know?
Seriously, Supriya has the worst caterer I have ever seen. All he can cook well is fruit and yogurt parfait while all of his attempts at baking cakes turn out poor and looking too awful to eat. He keeps leaving half prepared meals on all the empty counters too. I hope Supriya didn’t pay too much to hire this guy!
The party ended with a bang, or I should say, A FIRE! Stupid caterer! Mia and everyone but Supriya’s husband and eldest son ran out of the house while said husband and son worked to put out the fire. Thankfully, only the stove was a total loss. Every person and pet is safe and alive, even the pathetic caterer.
Upon returning home, Mia had to take Pippa on another business walk and managed to find the final poster for her collection while also finding a couple new snowglobes. Once again, Pippa tried to poop on Mia’s shoes! Why does she do this every single time?!?! Anyway, you can see Mia’s updated poster and snowglobe collections below. Mia even got a little award in the mail for collecting all those posters and “keeping the city clean”. You can see it too in the screenshot below.
That night, Mia goes to bed and Pippa sleeps on the floor next to her. For some creepy reason, Jacob entered Mia’s apartment (using his key that Mia gave him earlier no doubt) and just stood in the bedroom watching them sleep. He stood there a good six hours and I have no idea why. Creep! Maybe she should think twice about him…
Mia starts her morning on the treadmill to continue working to get into shape. She’s nearly there now, I think, and looking good. Later, it was time for another business walk, and another opportunity for Pippa to try to poop on Mia’s shoes. I have never had a Sim-dog try to poop on its master’s shoes before. This is totally new, never before seen behavior and I have no idea why it’s happening.
Back in her apartment, Mia gets to work upgrading the plumbing in her bathroom so as to increase her handiness skill and just because upgrades are awesome. I think she has everything upgraded in there by now. She’ll work on upgrading her kitchen next! Whoops, she’s almost late for work! Time to run!
After coming home from work, Mia daydreams about getting that final promotion but she still has one task left before she can get it; increase her Logic skill to level 6. She’s currently still on a low level 5. She had better get to work on that now if she ever wants to get that promotion! I just have to decide how best to go about it. There are several ways to raise that skill and reading a book on logic seems to be the slowest way.
I was going to buy Mia a chess table but then I noticed this card table in the same sort section of the buy catalog. I had no idea that Sims could play cards! It even gains Logic skill! Perfect! Mia then invited Jacob over to play cards together since apparently there’s no solitaire option. She gained quite a bit of Logic skill while playing but she’s still only half-way there to getting to level 6.
Upon returning home, Mia became deeply depressed (I would too if my nice shoes became caked in dog shit). So, she wrote about her feelings in her journal to try and lift her mood. It worked, to an extent. Mia still went to bed feeling depressed but hopefully she will wake up tomorrow in a different mood. You just never know how you’ll wake up when you have Bipolar 1. I know that all too well.
That’s all for today. Join us tomorrow as Mia continues to live her life in the big city. Is it time for more change? I don’t know but I do know that fall is now over and the winter holidays, including New Year’s Eve, is coming up all too soon. What lays in store for Mia and Pippa? Tune in tomorrow to find out!
