Simularity Update 019
First off, a new official patch was released this week for the Sims 4. The game was updated to version 1.65.70.1020 and some of the fixes include a fix for randomly disappearing pets. Yay! I’m right now in the process of checking all of my mods to make sure they are compatible with the new patch or if they need updating. So far they all seem to work fine and aren’t throwing any errors. Once I’m certain they are all compatible, I’ll update the various Mods posts with the latest compatible version information. Please stay tuned to this space! Also, it will just be three or so more days until Nifty Knitting is out. I can hardly wait! My elders need more to do and, after watching part of the deep dive stream on YouTube, I’m looking forward to this pack now more than ever. So, don’t be surprised if I get it on release day. Hey, I need to make sure my mods are compatible with it! LOL
While I was testing my mods, I noticed I messed up some of my Custom Content. I left a couple black edges on the Abstract Blue Rugs I had just released the other day. Sorry about that! I have since fixed them and re-released them as of a few hours or so ago. Please re-download the new file and overwrite the old file you downloaded before. As a bonus, I also released my brand new Abstract Rainbow Rugs set this morning for you all. After I fixed the aforementioned blue rugs, I created two new sets of rugs and four or so new sets of my artworks as decorative wall objects. I’ll be sharing all of them with you shortly.
In addition to that custom content, I’m also work on a brand new trait that I thought was finished and just needed testing. Then as I started testing it, I started coming up with more ideas for it and the trait started to become more complex. I’m still adding to it. Now I have no idea when it will be complete and ready for sharing because now I want to create an aspiration to pair with it. I need to finish it so I can work on the other two traits I have in the pipeline but then I’ll probably do the same to those. That’s just how I roll, apparently. My “to do list” is growing faster than my “done list”.
Earlier today, the last entry to the Agoraphobia Experiment was posted to the Stories section. Will there be more Stories? No idea just yet. I’ll keep you posted if I should come up with new ideas for more stories. For the time being though, I don’t have any ideas currently for more. I’m open to suggestions though.
I made a few updates to the site you need to know about. I renamed a few posts and files that should make everything easy to find and organize as the site gets bigger with more content. Which unfortunately broke any external links… sorry about that! If you created a link to my individual trait mods such as the Agoraphobia Trait, the URLs to them changed so you need to update your links to my site. I also updated the preview images to all of my Dream 9 Studios Artworks for the Sims in the Custom Content section. The old previews were too small and didn’t look right. The new images are clearer and larger. I also updated the Essential Mods post with some new mods and rewrote a few of the synopsizes. I’ll be making more improvements to the site soon.
I think that’s all the news for now. Oh, if you would like to translate any of my mods into your native language, feel free to do so as long as you send me copies of the translations so that I can share them here on Simularity. ALSO, please don’t share my mods without proper credit to me and a link back to Simularity. Thank you!
