Simularity Update 026
I’m still working like mad on new content for you all but I think I’m starting to slow down just a little. That’s a good thing as I don’t want to get burned out and I’ve been releasing new content almost every day since mid-July. I still have several pieces of new content and mods for you in the works and I will be releasing them in the upcoming days and weeks, so no worries there. I just need to slow down and breathe a little here and there so I can keep this up on into the future for a long time to come. Last thing I want to do is take an extended break and forget everything I have learned recently about modding, etc.!
Now, onto the news! We’ll start with the Mods. Since my last update I have released two new mods. The first was my Homemaker Trait for all your male and female Sims who prefer to stay home and raise families while learning the domestic arts. The other is a new lot trait called Alien Landing Zone. This lot trait will cause aliens to appear throughout the day and night at any community lot you choose and a few other features/surprises so be sure to read through the entire post. I’ve still got a couple aspirations in the works though both are giving me their own kinds of trouble so I don’t know when either will be ready for release. I thought I’d have another trait by now but it was so buggy that I decided to just scrap it and work on something else.
As for Custom Content, I released all six of “Hailee’s Tattoo Set” in the past couple days. You can find them all in the Tattoos section. I think “Hailee’s Makeup Set” will be my next content release which I previewed in my previous update. I’ll probably be releasing it tomorrow or the day after.
As for future custom content, I have some more previews for you! The first is a set of vintage t-shirts which are also my first set of clothing recolors. The shirts all feature vintage style logos written in Simlish and they are for both men and women. I’ll post a few previews below. I’m also working on some new mermaid tail colors for those with Island Living. I’ll post a preview of my first tail attempt below but keep in mind it still needs much more work. BTW, do you like the belt around the waist or should I do more of a “transition” effect? I can’t decide myself. I’ve got more content in the works but nothing else far enough along that I’m ready to share previews of yet.
I added a new section to the website today! The new section is called Articles and in it I will add any and all articles I write about the Sims 4 including articles about the game, modding the game, content creation for the game, and whatever else pops into my head that is Sims 4 related. I’m no master Simmer by any means but I do know a few things that I’d like to share with you all that I think would be helpful. I’ll keep all the tutorials super simplified because, after a lot of helping people in the Facebook groups, I’ve learned first-hand that not everyone is a computer genius and some people need a lot of hand holding. So, that means simple directions with lots of screenshots! I think that’s the best way to go so that more people will be able to utilize them. The first article up is about Finding & Deleting Duplicate Content. I hope at least some of you will find it useful. If you have ideas for more articles, let me know!
That’s all for now as I need to get back to work. My new drawing tablet finally got here today. I’m now looking over my to do list and seeing what I’ve been putting off until now because I couldn’t draw the fine details I needed with my mouse. I think my list of ideas to create just tripled! If you have more ideas for me of things I can create, remember my mods and custom content request forms! Just look for the links to them in the right side bar. Thank you for viewing!
