Simularity Update 037
This will probably be the last update of 2020. Here’s hoping 2021 will be a vast improvement over this year. I’m now looking ahead and planning out some new site features for you all. The coolest new feature, I think, will be the new Monthly Mod Finds. Each month I’ll share a post of all my favorite and the most useful mods that I’ve found around the internet with links to the sites where you can find and download the latest versions for yourself. The first edition is up right now. Oh, before I forget, I just updated my Sims 4 Essential Mods post which has all the big mods on it and several of those I find the most useful… excluding my own of course.
I also want to figure out the best way to make sure everyone knows if they have the latest version, or what version, of my mods downloaded. I’m thinking about redoing the text files in each zip. I’ll combine the two that are in there now into one and then create a new text file that lists what version of mod that is in that zip file and when the mod was last updated. Does that sound helpful? I’ll start doing that for all my mods in 2021 unless there are any objections.
I’ve been making tuning mods and fixes like mad the past few days! I have, I think, five of them almost ready to post. I’ll be posting them over the next several days. If you’re a patron of mine on Patreon, you already have access to them! They will of course be available to everyone eventually so don’t fret. I just wanted to give those willing to support me a little bonus. I’ll be doing that more often, as often as I can so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of becoming a patron of mine. 😉Â
New Mods & Updates
I updated my Bipolar Trait to fix a few little things that had been bugging me and added two new conflicting traits because I can’t stand the thought of there being a Sim out there that’s both Bipolar and Gloomy. That’s too much! I’m currently playing a new game and my main Sim has the trait. As I play, I’m taking notes on how I can further improve the trait to make it better and more realistic. I want to a few add social interactions to it as well now that I know how. Also, I found that a buggy part of Slice of Life that is recommended that you delete anyway is conflicting with my Bipolar trait and maybe other custom traits. More details are on the Bipolar Trait page under “conflicts”.
I just released my first ever Event!! I’ve been working on it for so long to try and make it the best I can with lots of unique goals and such. I sure hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you like it or not so I know whether to make more. 🙂 The new event is Pool Party. I have another event almost finished and ready to go that I will be posting soon as well with a few ideas for more.
Speaking of those Tuning Mods I mentioned earlier, I decided to go ahead and release one of them today. It’s the Emotion Names Overhaul which was inspired by (not copied from) Slice of Life. Now there’s no more “very” emotions but more descriptive, appropriate words to define each more extreme emotion. Regular range of emotions’ names stay the same. I had fun coming up with words to describe each emotion. Well, me and my thesaurus did anyway.
That’s all for now. Take care out there and may you have a…
