Simularity Update 039
Well first off, did you notice that this is no longer “news” but “updates”? Don’t ask me why I had to change that but I did. New year, new things. Speaking of new things, I also added a Mod Updates page where you can go for a quick rundown of what the latest mod updates. Each time I update a mod, I’ll write it down on that page for easier reference. Check it out to see what I mean as I have already started adding to it with the previously round of updates. You can find it under the “Updates” tag on the main menu above. To find what used to be “News” up there, look for “Simularity Updates” to find updates like the one you’re reading right now. Hopefully this will all make things clearer in the long run.
Coming Soon: A Custom Career!
I also added a Careers page to the Mods section. Why? I’m nearing completion on my first custom career, that’s why! So, I’m getting the site ready for it. I just want to test the career out a little more and polish a few more details before I release it. I can’t wait to show it to you! I even made it compatible with Discover University though I’ll include that part of the mod in a separate addon package for those who don’t have the University EP and for those who simply don’t want that functionality. 🙂
New Mods Released Today
I’m releasing two new mods today. One is a Tuning Mod that fixes something EA/Maxis left out. The other is a new Event mod that I hope you will enjoy playing with. First, the tuning mod is called Tiny Living Rumbasim Fix. Basically, the two entertainment centers in the Tiny Living Stuff Pack were released without the “Dance the Rumbasim” interaction for Sims who know how. This mod, if you have both Tiny Living and Jungle Adventure, fixes that so your Sims in tiny home can finally dance their hearts out. The new event is Movie Night which I had a lot of fun with and I hope you will too. You will need the Movie Hangout Stuff Pack to use the mod.
Mod Updates
Since my last site update, I updated the following mods with new translations on January 03, 2021: The Graveyard Lot Trait has been updated with both Simplified and Traditional Chinese translations by ciway of Mod the Sims. The Emotion Names Overhaul has been updated with several language translations thanks to my wonderful artist friends over on Facebook who volunteered to help me out with “my odd little project”. You can find out about these and all my future mod updates on the Mod Updates page. 😀
More Mods Coming Soon
I have several more mods in various states of completion! I think in a couple of days I will release two more mods, not sure which ones they will be yet but I will release at least two. After that, who knows. I have around nineteen mods in the works in various stages of completion ranging from “concept” to “ready to post”. Some of the new mods include new careers both full-time and part-time, new events, new lot traits, new personality traits, new aspirations, and a few more tuning mods. If you have ideas for more mods, let me know and I might add them to my to-do list. Remember, patrons from my Patreon get priority requests to the top of my to-do list!
New Custom Content Coming Soon
I think once I get the current slate of new careers I’m working on finished (they turned out to be very complex mods to work on, especially figuring out how to make them University compatible) I’m going to need a short modding break to let my eyes rest from looking at tiny numbers and letters. So, I’ll work on some new custom content for a while. I’ve got no shortage of ideas! I want to make more clothing recolors, some new skin details, more realistic eye colors, I’ve made more artworks in my other line of work so I can create more artwork objects. I also want to give makeup another try, especially now with the new makeup sliders that the game has. I might also try to create my first hair recolors. There are some hair models that I absolutely love with hair textures that are absolutely bland (at least to me) so that would be fun to try.
New Sims 4 Pack Announcement Next Week!
If you’re on Twitter, and possibly anywhere else, you’ve probably already seen the teaser. There’s going to be an announcement of a new Sims 4 pack on Tuesday January 12, 2021! From the looks of the teaser, it’s going to be a paranormal themed pack, perhaps the “Happy Haunts” that was suggested when the community voted instead for the Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack to be released. Considering that I did enjoy the “Ghost Hunter” career in the Sims 3 (until it got repetitive), this might be a fun pack! So, I’m looking forward to the reveal next week and will be seeing how I will need to be updating my Graveyard Lot Trait and Haunted House Lot Trait or if they will become obsolete! Hopefully they will just need updating… o.O
That’s all for now. Take care and be careful out there. The world is a crazy place and I want everyone to be able to stay safe and sound. I know some terrible things happened in my country today (I’ve been glued to the news all day) but the worse reality gets, the more I delve into the virtual worlds like my Sims and I’m betting I’m not the only one. Enjoy the new mods and know that more mods and content for your game are on the way. 🙂
