Have I got news for you! After weeks of hard work and countless days of testing, I am finally ready to unveil my first custom career!! I also have some brand new custom content for you with more coming up very soon. I might very well be adding some new sections to the site for you to download my custom lots and maybe even Sims. Plus…
I finally installed the HQ Mod! Well, it’s not really a single “mod” per se. It’s more like huge PITA but once I started, I was just too stubborn to stop. It took me three full days to get it all working but I finally managed to get it mostly working. If you want to see about getting your own game HQ-ized, here is the best tutorial I found for it: HQ Mod for The Sims 4 by The Reds Studio. Just be prepared to do a lot of downloading and a lot of converting of your old custom content if you want it to work with the new HQ version of the game.
New Discord Feature!
I added a new Announcements channel to my upgraded Discord server! Now you can follow the announcements channel for updates about new mods and CC here on Simularity! Awesome, huh?
New Mods Including New Career!
Now without further ado, my first custom Career is now ready for its debut! May I present to you the Adventurer Career where you can finally be the Indiana Jones or Lara Croft or variation thereof that you’ve always wanted to be! The career has two upper branches and has an optional addon for Discover University that will catapult you ahead to those upper branches if you get a relevant degree! Please note that this career requires the Jungle Adventure GP.
As a bonus, I’m also releasing a new Holiday Traditions mod pack today. The new pack is called Night Out Traditions and includes everything you need to create the perfect “date night” holiday! There are five traditions in the pack and some of them require various DLC so check out the pack’s page for more details before downloading.
New Custom Content!
Today’s new custom content addition is a skin detail set which will be featured in the Other CAS section. The new content is the Philtrum Skin Details also known as that little ridge under your nose. The set includes three sizes of philtrum in two intensities each. The philtrum look fantastic both on default Maxis skins and on detailed, custom alpha skins. They’re overlays so they work on any skin tone.
More mods, of course! I have two more tuning mods and a lot trait just about ready to go and be published. I am also working on two more custom careers one of which is far enough along that I’m actually testing it now while the other is still in the coding phase. I have another personality trait or two in the works as well.
As for new custom content, I have another skin detail and some new clothing recolors coming up plus two brand new sets of eyebrows which are looking quite good, if I do say so myself. I just need to come up with what colors to include in regards to the eyebrows. I have all the standard Maxis colors created so far but I’d like to add more alpha type colors as well before I publish them. I also plan on creating some new makeup content.
Lots & Sims!
Well, according to my new poll (which you can find on the front page about halfway down) everyone who has voted so far wants me to share both my self-made lots and Sims. I’ve never done that before! I’ll start thinking about how I want to do that. I think I’ll offer two versions of each lot and Sim, one with CC and one without CC that way everyone gets their choice and no one has to download something they don’t want to. I’ll attach some screenshots of my favorite two Tiny Homes below so you can see what I’m capable of. These are both fully functional as I’ve played families in both. The first is a second tier tiny home for two Sims and a doggie and the second is first tier micro home for a single Sim or a couple of Sims who want to get cozy. Both are shown with CC and stuff from multiple packs. As mentioned, I’ll offer versions without CC and with stuff from as few packs as possible. For those that do use CC, I’ll post links to where you can download the needed objects.
That’s all for now. Take care out there and see you next time!
