Simularity Update 066
First off, I added a brand new feature to the Simularity website! Share buttons! Now at the bottom of each and every post are four circular buttons that you can click to share the post to either Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter, or Facebook respectively. Cool, huh? That should make it a little easier to share your favorite mods and CC with all of your friends! I also joined Pinterest in case you’d like to give me a follow there and I’ll follow you back. Full disclosure, I don’t really understand Pinterest yet so I’m still learning about it. It’s… different.
Today I have two new mod releases for you! The first is the Stop Sniffing the Room Mod. It will, if you have the Bust the Dust Kit, stop your Sim from sniffing the air each and every time they enter a clean or semi-clean room but still get all those nice buffs/moodlets from having a clean or semi-clean room! Maxis fixed most of the annoyances with the Bust the Dust Kit but they missed this one and it has been driving me absolutely batty! I mean, it happens every time they enter a room!!! I’m here trying to test a mod and the damn Sim has to stop and sniff the room! It’s infuriating! Okay, maybe I’m getting a little carried away here… anyway, with this mod, it’s not a problem anymore!
The second new mod is Bake Everything in the Oven Mod. Baking is fun both in the Sims 4 and IRL. What isn’t fun is that bulky Cupcake Machine. What was Maxis thinking?! It’s fine for bakeries but what about at home? Well, this mod makes it so that you can now bake all the bakery recipes at home in any oven. Just click on any oven (or fridge, I always click on a fridge to start cooking anything and baking is no exception) then select “Bake…” and then the recipe you want limited only by your Sim’s Baking Skill.
New Custom Content!
I have a brand new piece of Custom Content for you all, finally! The new cc is Cocktail Dresses Set 1 which is a set of luscious textures for the Lola Dress by Sifix of TSR. These dresses are made of ombré jewel tone velvet with a nice reflective, textured shine. The edges are lined with small sequins and the top has a floral motif lace panel. I have to admit, I’m happy with how these turned out. My Sim finally has some new dresses to wear to the club for dancing! I love how these dresses shimmer when they move!
In the HQ Mod Fixes section, I have a new one of those for you too with a few more on the way because I’ve had it with my weirdly blank townies. The newly released fix is HQ May Update Eyebrow Colors. In the last patch, Maxis added six new hair colors along with six new matching eyebrow colors. Here are those six new matching eyebrow colors for all the Base Game eyebrows in high-res for the HQ Mod. I’m still working on the actual hair colors since there are sooo many hair models in the base game alone (188). It’s not a matter of simply click and convert. The eyebrows alone took me four hours straight of work. I’m not really looking forward to seeing if the six new hair colors have been added to the hair models for all the expansion packs…
I have released a new Article for those of you who enjoy the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge but have trouble coming up with unique color-themed names for your different color-themed generations. The new article, entitled Not So Berry Name Suggestions, is here to help with that! I literally lost count of how many color inspired names I wrote down and sorted out for that article! I hope you find it useful and feel free to bookmark it for future reference.
I was going to release my Monthly Mod Finds feature for this month but I found two really cool new mods recently that I want to try out first and see if they are something I’d like to recommend or not. If they are, I’ll share them. If they’re not, I’ll delete them from my game and post my other finds. Regardless, you can expect my Monthly Mod Finds feature for June sometime next week.
I already have a few mods almost completed and ready to go including a few tuning mods and a new trait. Last night I finished another set of clothing recolors which I’ll publish sometime next week along with the aforementioned mods. I have more in the works including more HQ Mod Fixes plus a lot more mods and custom content planned. I also have some new community lots in the works and a couple more tiny home residential lots which are so cute yet so very practical and perfect for Sims just starting out. I even have a few more articles in the works which are all tutorials that I hope you will find helpful/useful.
That’s all for now as I have much more work to do. Take care and happy Simming!
