Simularity Update 089
I’ve got a couple of new mods ready for you today (more are almost ready and should be available for you in my next update) plus several updates for some of my current mods. I’ve got far more in the works for next time and in the near future (including some new pets related mods). Let’s get on with the news!
New Mods
Firstly, we have my very first Lot Challenge which you will find in the Lot Traits category until I create enough of these to warrant their own category. I created this lot challenge by request! It is called UFO Hot Spot Lot Challenge and it makes your Sim’s home a hot spot for alien abductions which happen at random on any given night.
The next new mod is a new Trait. It’s named the Crafter Trait and it’s for all of those arts and crafts loving Sims. Sims who want to be skilled in and enjoy knitting, cross-stich, and flower arranging will need this trait. I’m open to suggestions on how to further enhance and improve this trait!
Mod Updates
After noticing some oddities with my Tiny Living entertainment center, I tracked the problem down to one of my own mods! LOL I have fixed and completely updated/rewritten my Tiny Living Rumbasim Fix Mod so it once again fixes what it should and doesn’t break what it shouldn’t.
After that, I checked several other mods that I may have missed while checking during those hectic patch days and noticed that my Increased Energy from Drinks mod needed to be updated so I updated all 70-something elements of it. You’ll need to delete the old files of this mod (it was previously broken up into four parts) and replace it with the one file it is now.
While playing with the Techie Trait, I made a few adjustments. I noticed that the sunlight buff wasn’t working right when your Sim goes back inside. I did my best to fix that. I also removed the Active Trait from the list of conflicting traits. Who says a Techie can’t be Active indoors?? I hadn’t thought of that before. I want one of those high-tech bikes with a cool screen myself.
As I was working on a separate brand-new trait, I realized that the Self-Absorbed Trait needed to be added to the list of conflicting traits for my Agoraphobia Trait. Both flavors of the trait have been updated. It seems like I made another fix for this trait but I can’t remember what it was.
Three of my mods have been translated into Chinese thanks to Edith and they are: University Life Aspiration, Paranormal Trait, and Farmer Trait.
Coming Soon
I have a couple new Tuning Mods almost finished and they should be ready for their debut with my next site update. I’m working on another new trait, this time it’s a mental health trait. It’s mostly finished, I just need to test it a little more to make sure a couple buffs fire correctly and at the right time. As I mentioned earlier, I’m working on a few mods for pets too. I see now why there aren’t a lot of pet mods. They’re HARD! LOL I’ll get these working somehow! One is almost working, just needs a bit more tweaking. I’m still working on my Careers too. I got up and wrote a bunch of chance card ideas in the middle of the night the other night but… I now can’t find that piece of paper!!
