Simularity Update 092
Lots of news to get through today! I have some new mods and some mod updates which the updates are additional mods to the previous mods. (I’ll explain more further on in this post.) Some of the mod updates/additions are from requests so keep those requests coming! (I also have a massive and extremely painful headache that hasn’t gone away after three days so if you know of any headache remedies, I’d love to hear those too.)
New Mods
First off, I have a brand-new Trait for you that was inspired by what’s happening to my dad. It’s called the Dementia Trait and it tries to, respectfully, replicate that affliction. I plan to add more to it/work on it more, but I did all I could for now. It was very difficult for me to create/work on due to it feeling so close to home.
Next up is a new Career mod that isn’t really a “career” but that’s the system I had to use in order to create the mod. The new mod is called Public Welfare and is exactly what it is called: it’s a welfare system for your Sims. Sims who have no other career are able to pick up their meager welfare checks once a week. The amount of welfare received is dependent on your dependents a.k.a. children. See the download post for more details.
New Mod Additions/Updates
The Don’t Do That Mods have been updated with two new “don’t” mods. The new mods now included are “Don’t Make Bar Drinks” which stops your mixology inclined Sims from autonomously mixing/serving drinks and “Don’t Break while Possessed” which stops ghost Sims from breaking the objects that they possess including plumbing and electronics.
The other mod that has been updated with a new addition is the Possessed Grounds Lot Trait and the lot trait itself. I edited the lot trait to work better even when you are using super speed (3). I have also recreated the updated version as a lot challenge so you can use it as that type of mod instead. Both versions are included in the zip file but ONLY USE ONE TYPE OF MOD, NOT BOTH!
Coming Soon
I have a new custom career in the works; I just need to create the splash screenshots and program in the chance cards. I also, of course, need to test it once finished. I’ve been brainstorming chance card ideas for my current slate of custom careers as well. I have a few so far for the Adventurer Career and just need to find time to program them into it. I still need to come up with some chance cards for my Psychologist Career.
I plan to try again to create my Date Event Mod (currently down because old version doesn’t work right). I have a new event in the works and some my first scenarios! I have a few other tricks up my sleeve as well which I’ll be unveiling soon. Stay tuned!
Oh, I also finally broke down and bought the Werewolves Pack so I may be creating some mods for that soon as well.
