Simularity Update 124
I’ve been super busy creating mods, testing mods, fixing mods then testing them again… then fixing them again… and so on. I now have several new mods and mod updates for you! I’ll have even more in another week or so! For now, here’s what’s new for today:
The brand-new Psychology Career 2.0 is now available! It has several new features including new social and object interactions! Check it out as I spent a LOT of time on this one to get all the new features and such working right and working together. I hope you enjoy the new career!
Also brand-new, the new Fearful Trait. The idea for this trait came to me last week while I was working on something else. I’ve had a lot of fun working on and testing out this trait. Basically, your Sim with the new Fearful Trait will have a phobia of most things and a more intense fear of things that other Sims are right to fear (like thunderstorms). I will probably add more phobias and fears later on. I just added everything I could think of for now.
Finally, the Better Music Wants Fix is now available! This changes the tuning for all music wants to have a much longer cooldown between popups (an entire day now) and also adds a requirement for the Sim to actually own a stereo or the wants won’t trigger at all. They are easy to complete wants but too much of anything is not good.
I updated the Don’t Do That Mods with a new “Don’t” mod and updated two of the previous ones. The new mod is “Don’t React to Mice” and stops Sims from reacting to mouse holes and mice from the City Living EP. This was created by request. I updated the “Don’t Prank Toilets” mod after noticing that Sims with the Goofball trait were still able to get around my old mod. Now even they can’t mess with the toilets! I also updated the recently added “Don’t Kick Trash Cans” mod after noticing that adult horses with the Curious trait was still knocking them over. No more!
In the Cottage Living Fixes Collection, I updated the More Social Gain mod so that every time you interact with your small animals, their social relationship will increase dramatically. This is in addition to the mod’s originally functionality which decreased the rate at which relationships would decay.
There was a problem with the Crafter Trait that I was notified about on Tumblr. It was triggering the Soap Making buff for those without having the Soap Making Station by icemunmun. Now it won’t trigger unless your Sim owns that object on their lot. I also added requirements for all wants to need the required objects before they will trigger. Two new wants were also added.
Finally, I updated the Techie Trait with lots of new wants and fixed the wants’ priority so they don’t show up more than any other trait’s wants.
I’m going to have several more new mods ready soon. I also want to change the way a couple things work on the site. I want to be able to have optional bonus downloads on mod pages that have optional components. So, instead of downloading everything in a zip file (possibly multiple zip files with the same files between them) I will add an additional button for optional mods that go with the main mod. I think I can make that work!
I also have some new traits in the works, new “Improved” Maxis traits, a couple new lot traits, and much more. I still plan to overhaul my Adventurer Career with lots of new features.
