New Canning Recipes

I decided to try and see if I could add some new canning recipes to the game… and it worked! This is thanks to the Crafting Enabler mod by Andrew (required for these recipes to work). I have created eleven new recipes in all. You need Cottage Living for the ability to do Canning at all. The other packs are optional as I have divided the recipes by pack required. There is also an All package for those with all the listed packs. I even crafted custom labels for each new recipe! I drew the little fruit icons and then put them into new texture maps using Photoshop. (I had forgotten how much drawing hurts my wrist!)

Pomegranate Jam
Muck Yuck
Lemon Jam
Grape Jelly
Cherry Jelly
Pineapple Jam (Island Living)
Coconut Oil (Island Living)
Soy Sauce (Eco Lifestyle)
Avocado Puree (Jungle Adventure)
Alien Fruit Jam (Get to Work)

How to Use In-Game:

After you install the mod package or packages of your choice and the Crafting Enabler mod, the new canning recipes will appear in the game’s regular “Canning” menu when clicking on either the Fridge or the Stove just like the game’s included recipes.

How to Install:

Copy the package files of your choice into your “Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods” folder. That’s it! You may also want to make sure that mods are enabled in your Game Options menu.

Multi Package Mod Instructions:

The mod zip file includes several packages. I split the recipes by what packs they require so everyone will be able to use them even if they don’t have every pack. Install only the ones you want or only the one named with “all” for every recipe. See the naming chart below for what is what.

Base = Base Game
IL = Island Living EP
GtW = Get to Work EP
JA = Jungle Adventure GP
EL = Eco Lifestyle EP

Requirements:

COTTAGE LIVING

Cottage Living is required for all recipes and the Canning ability.

CRAFTING ENABLER

Crafting Enabler by Andrew of S4S is required for this mod to function.

ISLAND LIVING

Island Living is only required for 2 recipes. It is optional.

GET TO WORK

Get to Work is only required for 1 recipe. It is optional.

ECO LIFESTYLE

Eco Lifestyle is only required for 1 recipe. It is optional.

JUNGLE ADVENTURE

Jungle Adventure is only required for 1 recipe. It is optional.
