Psychotherapies
Sims can get the psychotherapy they need to deal with their problems both big and small, long-term and short-term, illness related, and situation related. Although I created this mod with my mental illness traits in mind, this mod does not require them. Any Sim can seek psychotherapy and receive one of five random buffs for completing it. Depending on which of the five buffs your Sim receives, there is a varying chance that their negative buffs (and Fears!) will be removed regardless of what caused the buffs. The buffs will, of course, return eventually but that’s why psychiatrists are rich…. I mean, they’ll have to schedule another psychotherapy appointment.
Features:
- In-Person Therapy – sessions costing §250 where your Sim will leave the lot to seek therapy then return (hopefully) feeling better.
- Video Visit Therapy – can call for a video phone appointment costing §200 where they can see and talk to their therapist without ever leaving home.
- Telehealth Therapy – call for a §150 telehealth appointment where they just talk to their therapist.

Depending on which of the five results buffs your Sim receives from their psychotherapy visit, there will be either a 100%, 85%, 65%, or 35% chance of each of the following types of buffs being removed from them: Angry, Stressed, Scared, Sad, and Bored. What buffs your Sim receives and what buffs are removed are all completely random/based on chance though the positive outcomes are a bit more likely.

The same chance of outcomes per results buff also applies to whether or not your Sim’s Fear(s) will be removed and their Fear Confrontation Want being reset.
