Techie Trait
This is another trait that is partially inspired by my own life experience. A Techie learns all tech related skills (programming, video gaming, rocket science, and robotics) faster than anyone else plus doing things that relate to those skills are FUN rather than tedious. They excel in tech related careers, have lots of tech related whims, various specialized buffs when doing various actions, and… well, there is a downside or two to being a Techie of course. Spending all day staring at LED screens makes your eyes sensitive to sunlight and I’ve noticed some difficultly relating to people in the “real world” when you dedicate your life to technical pursuits. Hey, you can’t have it all!
Features:
- Learns these skills twice as fast as other Sims: Programming, Robotics, Video Gaming, and Rocket Science.
- Excels in the following careers: Scientist, Astronaut, Engineer, Freelance Programmer, Social Media, and Tech Guru.
- Includes related custom wants.
- Several themed buffs when doing various related activities.
- Has a slightly more difficult time gaining friendship and romantic points with people and can be more awkward.
- Will become uncomfortable when outside during sunlight hours and it takes time for their eyes to readjust when returning indoors.
