Don’t Do That Mods Vol. 1

I like giving my Sims some autonomy; it makes things interesting. Although there are a few autonomous actions that just annoy me to no end, and they seem to do these actions more often than any other actions! So, I took it upon myself to create this little collection of “Don’t Do That!” mods to put a stop to the little things that annoy me. If there are little autonomous actions that annoy you as well, let me know and I might just put a stop to those actions as well!

Features & Their Requirements:

Don't Prank the Toilet

Install this package to stop all Sims from pranking all toilets! Never again will this most annoying, and filthy, action happen ever again… unless you direct your Sim to do it but, why would you do that?!?

Don't Talk About Fishing Spots

Install this package to stop Sims from talking about any fishing spots without you directing them to. Less popups with this mod too since you won’t need to be notified about fishing spots your Sim has just discovered.

Don't Do Mischief Socials

Install this package to stop both your active Sim and (I think) all other Sims from doing most Mischief socials unless directed to by you. It really annoyed me that my Sim with the “Dislikes Mischief” preference still would autonomously prank people then hate themselves for it. If I missed any type of mischief social interaction that Sims are still doing autonomously in your game, please let me know so I can put a stop to it.

Now includes exceptions for Goofball, Childish, Evil, and Mean Sims.

Don't Drink from the Sink

Install this package and your Sims will no longer fill a glass of water from the sink and then drink it. I mean, ew, that water isn’t even filtered! I can understand it if you don’t have an alternative, but most Sims do. This only stops Sims drinking from the sink. If you want them to stop getting drinks from elsewhere, you need other mods like…

Don't Grab Drinks from the Fridge

Install this package to stop your Sims from autonomously grabbing a quick drink from the fridge to drink. This doesn’t usually bother me and that’s why I made it a separate package from the previous mod so I can take it out when I want to. Why make it then? When I’m playing a game with the Simple Living Lot Trait where you grow all of your own food or buy it from the grocery, this mod becomes a necessity to keep them from drinking all of the milk.

Don't Break Things When Possessing Them

Install this package to stop ghost Sims from breaking your house’s objects (such as electronics and plumbing) when they possess them.

Don't Auto Make Bar Drinks

Install this package to stop Sims with the Mixology Skill from autonomously crafting or serving drinks at a bar or with a bar object. This does not stop your Sim from making drinks when directed to. This was a request.

Don't Talk About Vampires

Install this package to stop your non-vampire Sims from having any of those options such as “Enthuse About Vampire Lifestyle” in the social pie menu unless your Sim is a vampire.

Install this package to stop your Sims from autonomously talking to any kind of planted plants whether they be standard garden plants, oversized garden plants, or vertical wall plants. This was a request.

Don't Mop Outdoors

This mod stops your Sims from mopping outdoors on open terrain like a grass yard. It also stops such puddles that they would have mopped from causing a bad buff so now it’s okay to leave those puddles to dry out on their own!

This mod stops Sims from reacting to the thermostat being on indoors whether it is set to cool or warm.

Don't Shovel in Heavy Snow

No longer will your Sims autonomously start shoveling snow when it is pouring down snow outside! A very light snow is still okay but heavy snow and snowstorms are out.

Don't Smash Dollhouses

Finally, your child Sims can rest easy knowing adults will no longer autonomously start smashing their precious dollhouses!

If you have the Movie Hangout SP and a Popcorn Maker in your house, you know that your Sims LOVE making popcorn! This will stop them from constantly making popcorn until you tell them to!

Don't Auto Burp or Fart

Stop most of your Sims from their bad habits and keep them from autonomously farting and burping! Now they will only do it when you tell them to! Sims that will still burp and fart are those with the following traits: Slob, Glutton, and Goofball.

Don't Drink Horse Pee

Stops mini goats and mini sheep from drinking the puddles made by horses. Requires Horse Ranch EP.

Don't Be Shy During First Kiss

This changes the weird original animation during a Sim’s First Kiss to the regular kissing animation. It also adds autonomy to the interaction so maybe you SO NPC will do the First Kiss rather than ordering your own Sim to do it.

Don't Kick Trash Cans

This stops all Sims and young foals or horses with the Curious trait (the latter only if you have Horse Ranch EP) from kicking over trash cans and making a mess.

Don't Be Tense, Fire is Scary

Changes the mood/emotion Sims have during fires from “Tense” to “Scared”.

Don't Uproot Healthy Plants

This mod removes the “Uproot” interaction for all healthy and wild plants so you don’t accidentally uproot the wrong plant. You will still be able to uproot dead plants, trash plants, and invasive species plants.

Don't Notify Me About Batuu

If you have the Journey to Batuu GP, you’ll notice an annoying text every time you start a new game inviting you to travel to Batuu. Well, this mod stops that text completely so you never see it again!

Stops Sims from reacting to mouse holes in walls and mice from the City Living EP. No more reactions and no more bad buffs!

How to Use In-Game:

All mods will automatically apply once they are installed into your Mods folder. No other action is required.

How to Install:

Copy the package file into your “Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods” folder. That’s it! You may also want to make sure that mods are enabled in your Game Options menu.
