Simularity Update 143
I’m still on the mend and still unable to walk very far at a time plus I must always use my crutch or else I’ll be in some serious pain. There will be at least another week like this. In two weeks, I get my stitches out and hopefully by then I won’t be in such pain. Ice packs are my best friends right now. I’m in good spirits though and happily coding away new mods for you all. 🙂 In fact, I have several new mods and updates for you today!
I have, per request, adopted the abandoned mods by Mikya of MtS that make writing and recording videos much faster. You can find all three here: Faster Song Writing, Faster Book Writing, and Faster Video Production. I have also added some new mods to my Don’t Do That Mods Vol. 2 collection. They are “Don’t Auto-Light Fireplaces”, “Don’t Autonomously Use Pizza Oven”, and “Don’t Do Pushups”. Also, I added a new requested custom preference. Check out the Swimming Custom Preference mod!
I also have some mod updates for you. (For all mod updates past and present, please see the Mod Updates page.) For today, I have re-re-updated the Reading Custom Preference due to broken icons which I thought I had fixed but didn’t realize until after my last update that I hadn’t in fact fixed them. I’m sorry about that. I also updated the Improved Maxis Traits to fix the Improved Bookwork Trait which was causing some LEs when going to the library. In the first Don’t Do That Mods, I updated the “Don’t Drink from the Sink” to fix a tuning error.
I am also in the process of completely updating all of my Aspirations. I am re-creating them with the new version of Mod Constructor 5 and fixes for the recent code changes made by recent patches. I am also adding new features to them like Wants and improving little things here and there. I have three created so far but I still need to test each of them before they are ready for download. For the current versions of the aspirations currently for download on the website, they will work in game but will show up for all age groups instead of just young adults and up aged Sims. This is due to a coding change in the last patch. This will be fixed by me soon.Â
Oh, in regard to those aspirations I am recreating and testing, I need to be able to befriend a dolphin for the Ultimate Adventurer Aspiration. I just found out that no matter what I do, I can’t do multiple interactions with any dolphins without getting LastException errors. It’s preventing me from being able to thoroughly test out this mod. I tried doing this on a vanilla game and it still happened so it’s definitely a game bug.
