Simularity Update 145
I’ve got a lot of cool new stuff for you today with even more on the way! I’m currently reworking the last of my aspirations that need fixing and reworking and a few of my older yet still popular traits. FYI: The Ultimate Adventurer Aspiration had to be taken down for now as it cannot be completed until Maxis fixes a few new bugs (mainly the goal to “Befriend a Dolphin” but all dolphin interactions are currently broken). I updated the Scientist Extraordinaire Aspiration today. That leaves just the Ultimate Happy Homemaker Aspiration and the University Life Aspiration. I have recreated both of them and am in the middle of testing the Homemaker aspiration. Once I finish that one, I’ll work on testing out the new University Life Aspiration. After that, I’ll rework a few of my older traits. Everything will be posted as soon as I’m sure they all work.
For the brand-new today mods, we have a highly requested mod called Stop Most Annoying Random Calls & Texts. This mod puts a stop to most, but not all, of the really annoying random calls and texts your Sim gets a little too often. These include but are not limited to: Texts about bar nights and things to do at festivals, Bess asking for money, calls about switching careers, and much more. If I missed any calls that annoy you, let me know and I’ll try to add them. I didn’t want to stop all calls as some of them are beneficial. If you want to stop ALL calls and texts, you can select that as an option in Deaderpool’s MCCC mod.
The other new mod was also a request that I am calling Enhanced Jealous Reactions rather than my original title for it (Unhappy Slappy). This mod will give all Sims the same reaction to physical cheating (kissing, holding hands, etc.) as Sims with the Jealous Trait. That means they will now stomp their feet then walk over and slap the crap out of their cheating partner.
As for updates, as I mentioned earlier, I have finished updating and testing the new Scientist Extraordinaire Aspiration. It has been completely rebuilt from the ground-up. It has new icons, maybe some new goals, new point values, and more. I added a new mod to the Don’t Do That Mods Vol. 2 collection called “Don’t Use the Grill” which stops all Sims from autonomously using grills to cook food or brew remedies. Smaller updates include fixing some timing on buffs for the Artist Trait. Fixed the trait restrictions for the Bipolar Trait. Updated and fixed the Restaurant Dining Fix to work better with all the new patches and such. The Bowling Alley Lot Trait has been updated to add “Generic” venues to its allowed venue types. Finally, the Reading Custom Preference was updated with a German translation and the Bipolar Trait with a Portuguese translation.
I’ll have more new mods next week including at least one more updated/overhauled aspiration and who knows what else. Until then, take care out there and happy Simming!
