Simularity Update 147
New Mods
First off, I added two new small mods to the Don’t Do That Vol. 2 mod collection. The Don’t Do Lovebug Heart Hands Animation and Don’t Do Romantically Reserved Animation are two mods that stop those ridiculous trait animations that came with two of the traits from the new Lovestruck EP.
I have also released a mod that I’ve been thinking of and working on for quite a while now. You know those phone calls from your Sim’s friends asking for advice on new friends, relationships, jobs, and promotions? Notice how they always have nearly the same outcome depending on whether you say “yes” or “no”? Well no more! The More Outcomes from Advice Phone Calls mod creates new randomized outcomes for all of these prompts and their possible answers.
Mod Updates
I have finally finished completely updating and overhauling both my Ultimate Happy Homemaker Aspiration and the Homemaker Trait! Both now have new and improved features added to them. I also added a few lines of new code required by the latest patches for all aspirations. You don’t have to use the trait and aspiration together, but it can be more fun that way.
New Translations
The following mods now have Russian translations thanks to VitaVP: Equestrian Expert Aspiration, Scientist Extraordinaire Aspiration, Bipolar Trait, Artist Trait, Tea Preference, Juice Fizzing Preference, Flower Arranging Preference, Coffee Preference, Candle Making Preference, Instant Crystal Charge (Part of the Longer Crystal Charge Mod). Also, the Swimming Preference mod has a new German translation thanks to LuciaSims.
If you would like to submit new mod translations for any of my mods in any of the Sims 4’s supported languages, please either contact me or join the #translators channel on my Discord server by clicking here. I once created a spreadsheet of all mods in need of translations but it’s out of date. I’ll try to create a new version soon to make things easier for you all.
Coming Soon
At the moment, I am finishing up the testing of another trait overhaul (the Comedian Trait) and making some minor adjustments (the Bipolar Trait) and retesting those adjustments. I am also in the midst of testing a brand-new career mod which is getting closer and closer to being ready for release. I am also brainstorming and preparing to create another new career mod that was requested. I plan to add some improvements to my Plopsy Seller Part-Time Job (like new crafts to create and other improvements) and Rock Star Careers (work from home tasks and adding modifiers to the chance cards to increase or decrease likelihood of positive or negative outcomes) as time permits. Oh, I do plan to overhaul a few more traits so please don’t translate these as they will need new translations after I overhaul them: Agoraphobia Trait, Clinical Depression Trait and maybe the Dementia Trait.
Important Info About Patreon
I recently received an email from Patreon about upcoming forced changes. Long story short, they are going to start charging people who sign up via the Patreon app (on your iPhones) a 30% increase that creators see no part of. So, do not sign up as a patron via the Patreon App! Always use your web browser! Another thing is that they will force me in November of this year to change the way billing works. Right now, all patrons are charged, and I receive the donations, at the first of the month every month. In November, this will change to being charged every month on whatever day you signed up on. This is going to mess up the way I am able to make future plans as I rely on the that predictable first of the month payment. It’s going to be a mess for me, but I hope it won’t be a mess for you. If you don’t like the changes that Patreon is making, remember that you can also support me via Ko-Fi where you can make either one-time or monthly donations.
My Health
For those curious, I think I mentioned on Patreon that I had surgery on my foot (to remove a bone spur that was cutting into my Achillies tendon then repair the tendon) which has greatly decreased my mobility and is causing a lot of pain. The doctor took all 15 stitches out last week but since then I have developed a minor infection in the wound. So now it’s hurting almost as much now as it did that first week after surgery. I am keeping the wound clean and using lots of ice packs to try to keep the infection and inflammation at bay. Also, my insurance has so far declined to fill my migraine prevention medication which means more pain. So, I’m not in the best of shape but I’m trying to keep my spirits up and can’t really do anything besides sit in front of my computer and occasionally take breaks to rest. So, more opportunity to create mods! LOL
That’s enough rambling for now. Take care out there and happy Simming!
