Techie Trait
This is another trait that is partially inspired by my own life experience. A Techie learns all tech related skills (programming, video gaming, rocket science, and robotics) faster than anyone else plus doing things that relate to those skills are FUN rather than tedious. They excel in tech related careers, have lots of tech related whims, various specialized buffs when doing various actions, and… well, there is a downside or two to being a Techie of course. Spending all day staring at LED screens makes your eyes sensitive to sunlight and I’ve noticed some difficultly relating to people in the “real world” when you dedicate your life to technical pursuits. Hey, you can’t have it all!

Current Version:
v1.4 – Added several new wants and fixed the trait’s want priority number. (Now they will only pop up as often as any other trait and not every damn time.)

Notes:
This trait goes well with the new “techie lifestyle” and “indoorsy lifestyle”. It also goes well with the “Fast Internet” lot trait and “Geek” personality trait from Maxis. These are just observations I’ve made in my own game while playing with this trait.
Although this trait has benefits for skills available from expansion packs, you only need the base game to make this trait work. The aspects of the trait from those extra packs will simply not activate if you don’t own them. This shouldn’t cause any errors in your game so no worries. If you do have those extra packs then, yay for you!
