Simularity Update 137
I’ve been getting several mod requests lately which has kept me full of new ideas for new mods. (And keep sending me those requests, I love reading your messages!) Oh, also be sure to drop by the Simularity Discord as there is almost always some sort of conversation going on there now. It’s not always Sims related but it always goes back to Sims eventually. 🙂
New Mods
I have two new preference mods for you today. The first was a request, the Tea Drinking Custom Preference. Now your Sims can choose between liking/disliking coffee or tea or both! Your Sim will receive either a positive or negative buff depending on their preference when drinking tea.
The other new preference is one I had actually finished in late 2023 but the files got lost for a while. Well, I rediscovered said files and updated them. Now available, the Juice Fizzing Preference! This preference will give a relevant buff to your Sim’s preference when they are making or drinking juice fizzers. (Remember, all preference mods can be found in the Other Mods section.)
Also added a new mod to the Don’t Do That Mods Vol. 2 which was also a request. The new mod, Don’t Let Gremlins Break Everything Every Night mod will alter this City Living Lot Trait so that the “gremlins” only break things in your apartment or home at random and only 25% of the time.Â
Updated Mods
All of my custom preference mods have been updated to re-add the social interactions that I had previously removed due to them misfiring. Now they work like they should. Now your Sims can enthuse or complain about whatever preferences they have. Oh, I renamed the Fabrication’s interaction to “Rave About Fabrication” due to there already being a rather important interaction in the game called “Enthuse About Fabrication”. The updated mods are Archaeology Preference, Candle Making Preference, Coffee Preference, Fabrication Preference, Flower Arranging Preference, and Reading Preference.
The Paranormal Proficiency Aspiration has been updated with a fix for all of its custom social interactions. My apologies for not catching this sooner!
I completely overhauled and recreated the Wordsmith Trait. Now it works better than ever before but will require all new translations. I didn’t add a custom fear this time. I may add it in later or not at all. I haven’t decided yet.
The Possessed Grounds Lot Challenge has been updated to fix an error which caused phantom events (which you couldn’t actually start and risked crashing the game) from appearing in the Social Events menu.
New Translations
I have updated the Mental Health Medications mod with a new Korean translation thanks to Raymond. I have also updated the following mods with Polish translations thanks to Nenusia: Agoraphobia Trait, Artist Trait, Crafter’s Corner, Dementia Trait, Emotion Names Overhaul, Farmer Trait, Happy Go Lucky Dog Trait, Immortality & Ageless Reward Traits, Modern Art Gallery Lot Trait, Night Out Traditions, Paranormal Traditions, Paranormal Trait, Scary TV Traditions, Seasonal Affective Disorder Trait, Techie Trait, Zen Cat Trait.
Coming Soon
I’m still working on a brand-new and vastly improved version of my Bipolar 1 Trait. No ETA as of yet for when it will be finished. I am still in the programming phase and keep thinking of things I need to add to it. After that will be a rigorous testing phase before it’s ready for sharing. I thought about taking the old one down for now but chose instead to leave it up for the time being. I’ll probably take it down when I’m closer to releasing the new trait.
I am also working on an improved, recreated version of the Crafter Trait to include Gemology and a few other things. It’s currently in testing but should be ready in time for the next site update which should be sometime next week.Â
I’ve been working on a new career mod too. It’s still in the programming phase so it will be quite a while before it’s ready as careers always take a long time to test once they’re finished. I may also make a few updates/fixes to my current career mods as time permits.Â
